Neurodiversity
Every brain
works differently.
So I shape the work around how you think best. Everyone has different strengths, different challenges, and different ways they like to work.
You don’t need a diagnosis, and you don’t need to tell me anything. If you’d like to, you can. Either way, we’ll find what works for you.
Where this comes from
A lot of what I do started with what helps people with ADHD, me included. It turns out to help most people.
In coaching
Sessions shaped around how you think best. Shorter or longer, with a break in the middle, sitting or standing: whatever helps you think.
A short written summary after each session, with the one or two things you said you’d try, so you don’t have to remember them.
No judgement. Everyone has good days and bad days. When something didn’t move, we look at what got in the way, and at what would help you make progress on what you want to do.
In workshops
The agenda and any reading sent ahead, short.
Writing first, then talking, so the quickest voice doesn’t win by default. (1-2-4-All is one way to do it.)
Breaks, and a room people can move around in.
Decisions written up straight after, so nobody has to remember them.
For managers
If someone on your team works differently from you, coaching can help you get the best from them, and help them get the best from themselves. It often starts with you.
